Eligibility Requirements

Requirements for Enterprises setting up in Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre.

The enterprise applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a company incorporated in Kenya
  • Must have the financial capacity and technical expertise to carry out the SEZ proposed operations

  • Must own or lease land or premise within an SEZ to set up its operations

  • The company’s operations must create employment opportunities to the local residents

  • The operations of the company should not have negative impact on the environment or engage in activities that are a threat to national security

Application Process

The process for applying for an SEZ
Enterprise License.

Our team will guide you in the preparation of a Business plan, provide support in filling out the application form and conclude the application process.

  • Presentation of a business plan for the proposed SEZ activity
  • Complete the SEZ Enterprise application form attaching all requisite documents

  • Once the Application satisfies requirements, an Approval Letter is issued

  • A Letter of No Objection is written to the Business Registration Service (BRS) to enable the investor to register/incorporate an SEZ company.

  • Incorporation of New SEZ entity. Incorporation of the New SEZ Entity is carried out by the Business Registration Service (BRS)

  • An SEZ Enterprise License is issued to the newly Incorporated SEZ Company after payment of the Annual License fee of US$ 1,000 and provision of the following documents:

    • Investment Agreement
    • Land Lease Agreement from the SEZ Developer or Operator
    • Any other statutory licence specific to the nature of business
